I stumbled onto this view of Mt. Hood while out painting with friends. We were each enthralled by this untouched view of the less famous side of the mountain. As we realized it was time to pack up and go before the wilderness became pitch black, the sky deepened to this dramatic silken haze. I snapped some photos so I could create a larger studio painting. The finished piece captures the sense of awe and mystery I felt in that moment. This original oil painting is 16hx20w inches and comes with a black and gold wood frame. It can be seen in person at Chrisman Frame Gallery Nov 7th-Dec 31st.
